Kirstie Alley's Parents Die in Car Accident

Star's Mother and Father Killed in Head-On Collision

Los Angeles, CA - Kirstie Alley's parents were killed in a head-on car collision on Friday night. The actress's mother, Lillian Mickie Alley, 71, and father, Robert Deal Alley, 68, were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Highway 101 in Ventura County. Alley's parents' car was struck by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The driver of the other vehicle was also killed in the crash.

Alley, 48, was devastated by the news of her parents' death. She released a statement through her publicist saying, "My heart is broken. My parents were my best friends and I will miss them more than words can say." The actress did not say for sure whether she would attend a funeral for her parents.

Alley's parents had been married for 49 years and were longtime residents of Wichita, Kansas. They are survived by their daughter and two grandchildren.

The accident is still under investigation. The CHP has not released any information on the cause of the crash.

Alley is best known for her roles in the television series "Cheers" and "Veronica's Closet." She has also starred in several films, including "Look Who's Talking" and "Drop Dead Gorgeous."
