Tuscany, Italy, Duisburg: Three Car Accident Kills Three People

Three people were killed and one was injured in a three-car accident in Tuscany, Italy, on Sunday, according to Italian state police.

The accident occurred on the A1 motorway near the town of Montecatini Terme, about 60 miles west of Florence.

The victims were identified as a 52-year-old man, a 48-year-old woman, and a 10-year-old girl. All three were Italian citizens. The injured person was a 25-year-old man who was driving one of the cars. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the accident occurred when a car traveling in the wrong direction on the motorway collided head-on with another car. A third car was then involved in the accident.

The motorway was closed for several hours while police investigated the accident. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
